Ha, I bet they would! That is, if they ever managed to associate me with the bread. I'm not sure it's the same ducks every day, it might be different groups migrating through. Also, they're long gone before I ever get close enough to drop or toss bread, so even if they returned and found it later, I don't know if they would know I left it? But maybe they're smarter than I think. :)
