neverspent | November 4: Big wind

The big thing today was the wind. I say "big" deliberately; it was large, a giant. When wind comes in on a storm, it doesn't seem large, really... just violent. When it rises on a clear, sunny day, it's the biggest thing in the sky even if you can't see it. Today it was chilly, fresh, and kicking up leaves everywhere. There are a few varieties of oaks that are only just starting to turn and haven't dropped any leaves, but most of them are in full swing. I can tell you there are willow oak and red oak leaves all over the ground, drifting against curbs and fences.
