July 6: Broken promise of rain

Lots of rainy looking clouds throughout the day today. At one point in late morning, based on the type of clouds, the darkness of the sky, and the way the wind was picking up, I would have bet money on a storm. But we had nary a drop. If this were spring, we'd be under a region-wide deluge by now. But it's mid summer, and the sky promises much more than it delivers.
