January 19: Back in the city

I'm back in the city now. When I arrived, there was still snow, and although it wasn't as picturesque as the snow in the country (partially due to being mostly melted) it did make some interesting sights. On the balcony, it was melted between the boards but still piled up in long mushy white pillows along the boards.



Below the balcony on the steep hill, children had obviously been trying to sled on the plastic lid of a trash can. The snow was compacted in strips down the hill and the lid was discarded at the bottom. Here's to them for making the best with what they had.

But I do miss the farm.
