February 27: Centipedes, forsythia

This morning it's misty and the air has kind of a blue-green tint. Storms coming tonight, they say. Insects on the move after being hidden away in soil and leaf litter all winter. On my walk, I saw three handsome centipedes: two creeping across the sidewalk and one curled up. I also saw the first blooming forsythia.
