April 7: Wood flowers

I went for a short hike through a forest trail in a city park this evening, and I was much more at home botanically than I had been in the botanic gardens last weekend. There isn't much blooming yet, but I did spot wood sorrel, Star of Bethlehem, and a lot of hairy spiderwort. Funny name, but it's an odd looking, pretty little flower.
