Goldfish update
Sep. 2nd, 2011 12:27 amExciting news in fountain goldfish population: it is multiplying like crazy. Either someone has taken it upon themselves to "stock" the pond with 10-cent feeder goldfish, or our big resident beauties had a lot more fun earlier this summer than I realized, and the fingerlings were good at hiding for most of the summer. I had seen two or three at a time, but... early this week when I looked over the side of the building from the third floor, below me was a positive swarm of fishlings! I started counting but couldn't, there were so many moving around.

The long-term sustainable population seems to be about nine to nineteen fish, but it's awfully fun to have this crazy school of little fish for now.
