Yesterday started with a lovely fog, and it was a pretty good day for shifting dirt in the garden. Today's weather was what they would put in the dictionary next to "perfect." The jonquils are blooming in the pasture at the Farm. I love how different they look just because of the sky.
Thank you! Let's see, the tiny purple one is bluets, and the ones with reddish leaves at the top are deadnettle ("dead" because they don't sting like some nettles).
It's actually spring, with the newest appearing leaves! (Kind of like some baby oak leaves are red, I guess.) But that's just because our Lamium only grow in spring. They're considered weeds by most, but nobody worries about them because a few weeks after the grass starts to green up and grow, it's gotten too hot for the deadnettle and they die back until next spring.
