June 22: Dragonfly routine

When I walk from my office to my car in the glaring, sweltering evenings, there is usually a large dragonfly perched in the same place on one electric wire above one parking lot. I guess it likes a routine.

Last Friday, I stopped my car on an overgrown dirt road and waded into the weeds and brambles to take some pictures. I was excited to get a half-decent shot of a dragonfly. It rested long enough for me to check the settings on my camera!
