October 17: Hike

I had a chance to go hiking this morning at a nearby state park where the trails go up a small, cone-shaped mountain. It was easy to tell how dry it is, with the burn ban signs, the fine dust on the trails, and the patches of dead brown visible in the forests below the mountain. Still, some views were mostly brown and gold, but others were green and blue.
