December 1: Squirrel's nests

It's December, can you believe it? I'll have to start tagging things "winter" soon.

I mentioned it's easier to see things in the trees now. Today I noticed... squirrels' nests!


You can see the sweet gum balls and, in the lower branches, the squirrel's nest

Asperatus! I love that article. It makes me happy that my friends know it will thrill me. :) I think I actually saw some Asperatus myself back in June. It was breathtaking. I couldn't believe no one else in the area was stopping and staring the way I was!
