January 28: Stars

I drove out to the farm tonight, a little later than usual, and arrived after eight. I like to stand in the driveway and look at the stars for a minute or two, and tonight was like a black enamel bowl scattered with white sand. I just... how can it be that it never gets old? A sky full of stars is just as beautiful as every time you've ever seen it before.
